Gorgeous at Gonzaga: Mandy + Josh

Last weekend, I travelled cross-state to Spokane for one of my most eagerly anticipated weddings of the year, with Mandy and Josh.  They went to school at Gonzaga University in Spokane, and were excited to show off this very special place to all of their family and friends.

Boudoir Teasers for Ms M

Gosh, summer is really here, and don’t I know it … it’s been crazy crazy busy here and my blogging schedule has fallen a little behind!  So here’s the first of two posts for today - teasers from one of my wonderful wedding client’s boudoir session.  The fabulous Ms M came to my home studio a week ago, and we had such a fun time creating these images.  I am super excited for her wedding in the fall … thanks, M, for sharing some of your favorite pics!

Newcastle Splendor: Chrissy + Milo

Last Sunday, I headed back towards Renton, but this time my destination was high up in the hills of Newcastle - the magnificent Newcastle Golf Club.  You may remember the gorgeous bride and groom for our recent engagement session, Chrissy and Milo.

Spirits of Washington: Jenerra + Ryan

On Saturday, I headed down to Renton for Jenerra and Ryan’s gorgeous wedding at The Spirit of Washington Event Center in Renton.  I hadn’t met Ryan before the big day (he actually proposed on new year’s eve, several months after Jen booked me!) so it was fun getting to know him over the course of the day.

Love and Limes at Leifer: Melanie + Sidney

Last Sunday, I had the pleasure of working again with the ultra talented Nick and Aleah Valley of Fine Line Management & Events at the venue of my first ever wedding, Leifer Manor.  The lucky couple?  Melanie and Sidney, one of the most wonderfully complementary couples I’ve come to know.

Hedonism on Hidden Lake Lane: Adrienne + Chris

It’s no secret that I become emotionally attached to a lot of my couples.  Often times we become friends through a series of meetings, engagement sessions, boudoirs and so on …  and sometimes there’s just something that clicks.  I hadn’t seen Adrienne and Chris since last summer, but it felt like I was being reunited with old friends.  I hope their teaser photos convey the amazing atmosphere and intense happiness that I experienced on Saturday.

Post Alley & Alki Engagement Session: Chrissy + Milo

Last Wednesday, I had a super-last-minute engagement session with Chrissy and Milo - I’ll be photographing their wedding this coming Sunday!  We split our session into two parts - first, I showed them around my favorite corners of Post Alley and the market, then they introduced me to Alki Beach (I can’t believe I had lived in Seattle so long without ever visiting Alki!)

Family Frolics at Discovery Park: The Hansen Family

On Tuesday evening, I met up with the lovely Hansen family for some fun and casual portraits at Discovery Park.  It’s the second group of people I’ve introduced to this beautiful place, and I’m pretty sure they are already big fans.

Sweet and Sunkissed: Heather + Gage

On Sunday, I went somewhere completely new for Heather and Gage’s engagement session: the beautiful park at Point Defiance, just outside Tacoma.  Heather was my first 2009 wedding booking, but I hadn’t met Gage before Sunday.  It was so much fun hanging out with them and getting to know them!  We’re planning to meet again for some more “industrial” photos around Seattle in August, so this is really Heather and Gage Part One …

Catholic Tradition with a Cambodian Flavor: Krystal + Ratana

On Saturday, it was finally time for Krystal and Ratana’s wedding - it felt like years since we met up for their engagement session!  They had a traditional Catholic church service at St Theresa’s Church in Federal Way, followed by an evening of Cambodian-style partying at Ocean City restaurant in the International Disctrict back in Seattle.

The Fourth of July: Hailey + Stan

On July 4th, I met with Hailey and Stan who had traveled all the way from Spokane to have their engagement photos taken!  We met at Pike Place, late morning, where I was expecting it to be cool and calm - I had no idea that the market would be open on such a big holiday, and of course it was crazy there!

Sunday at Tyee: Jenny + Jerrod

Last Sunday, I photographed Jenny and Jerrod’s wedding at Tyee Yacht Club.  It was like photographing old friends - we’ve met so many times now - and I’m hoping they’ll be having babies so that I have a good excuse to keep on photographing them!
