The Perfect Storm: Alexa + Brian

Last Sunday was not the perfect day for a wedding - cold, dark, gray … and very, very wet.  But sometimes the worst weather brings out the best in people, and looking back on Alexa and Brian’s wedding, I wouldn’t have had it any other way.  It was romantic, intimate and passionate, and the bright, warm atmosphere made us forget the dreary conditions outside.

Sunny Sahalee: Allie + Ryan

My first wedding last weekend was on Saturday at Sahalee Country Club out in Sammammish.  We had a beautiful sunny day, perfect weather for exploring the gorgeous golf course at Sahalee, and a beautiful couple, Allie and Ryan.

Sneak Peek: Alexa + Brian

I’ve had such an awesome weekend - two Jewish weddings, in two amazingly gorgeous locations, with two fabulous couples.  I’ll be blogging Saturday’s wedding with Allie & Ryan in a day or two, and Sunday’s with Alexa & Brian by the end of the week … but I couldn’t resist sharing this shot of Alexa and Brian from Kiana Lodge … Enjoy!

Lovin’ at the Lakeside: Gretchen + Ben

Here’s another wedding that I’d been looking forward to since the moment I met them - Gretchen and Ben’s glorious Sunday wedding in a very sunny and happy Seattle.  Ben and Gretchen were one of my first engagement session couples, and after several meetings (including one completely random occasion at Smith on Capitol Hill when I was just a teeny tiny bit tipsy) it was finally time for their wedding day!

Boudoir Session: Mrs. A

A few weeks ago, the beautiful and lovely Mrs. A came to the studio for a boudoir session.  She wanted some fab photos to give her husband for their anniversary - and we got tons of gorgeous shots.  I am so happy that she gave me permission to share so many with you - she was happy to show pretty much anything that wasn’t ultra revealing!

Sunshine in Snohomish: Jessica + West

Saturday brought blazing heat and an inside-outside garden wedding with Jessica and West.  It was a tough day for us all with the crazy weather, but the ceremony was beautiful and the evening was full of great music and much drinking and dancing.  I also had the opportunity to work with some really awesome vendors, including Lake Washington Video and the delightful Trista and Heather who coordinated.

Beau Lodge Tea Party: Aisling & Nick

Last Sunday, I drove up to Bow, WA for Aisling & Nick’s wedding at Beau Lodge.  It is the cutest little place, tucked away in beautiful countryside, and the perfect setting for a grown up mad-hatter’s tea party.

Golden Gardens Trash the Dress: Tecla + Craig

Last Wednesday evening, I met with Tecla and Craig for the final installment of their fabulous photographic story - their trash the dress (TTD) session.  I suggested Golden Gardens for contrast with their engagement photos and wedding shots, and boy am I glad I did.  It was such a beautiful evening, and *just* warm enough for a little swimming …

The Magical 08-08-08: Christa & Shaun

I’m guessing that there aren’t many photographers who weren’t shooting a wedding this last Friday - it’s quite the date, 08-08-08!  I spent a beautiful afternoon and evening out in Grapeview, WA at Fair Harbor Marina with two of my favorite engagement clients, Christa and Shaun.

Heather + Gage: Part II

You may remember Heather and Gage from Part One of our engagement session back in early July.  Well, this Wednesday, we headed into Post Alley and onto 1st Avenue to take a few more architectural photos to round off their collection.  It was super fun to see them again!

August Bliss on Orcas Island: Morgan + Dino

Last Friday, I travelled up to Orcas Island for Morgan and Dino’s beautiful backyard wedding.  I made a weekend of it, and traveled with fellow wedding photographer and awesome buddy Jenny Jimenez (see here for her photos of our island shenanigans and some very amusing photos of yours truly - my take on our travels will be coming soon).

Boudoir Teasers for Ms H

Right at the beginning of July, Ms H traveled a long, long way to my studio for her boudoir photography session.  Well, after some procrastination I am delighted to be showing off some of her favorite photos to you!
