On Monday I photographed my first ever maternity session … and it was awesome! I met Katie and Nate back in July at Mandy and Josh’s wedding. Katie told me that when they got pregnant, she’d love me to photograph them – well, it turns out that they were already pregnant at the wedding, and it wasn’t long before they were back in touch.
Katie loves my boudoir photos, and was keen to incorporate the boudoir style into the belly session. It’s definitely a little more challenging than the regular boudoir photos – which are pretty much second nature for me by now – but I love the results. My absolute favorites are the black and white crop of both their bellies, the shot with those awesome stripy socks, and the one of Katie in her cardigan, lit by the studio light, with just her belly popping out of the black. Thank you both for being amazing models and for sharing so many of these intimate photos, and I can’t wait to photograph the baby inside the belly, little Max (roll on spring!)
