Last weekend, we took a last-minute mini vacation with the doggies and some of our best buddies: Mike and Beth, proud parents of my doggy-nephew Bernie, Ed, and of course myself, my hubby Josh and our baby Labrador Porter. We headed down to gorgeous Pacific Beach on the Washington coast, along with two trunkloads of food, sweets, beer and whisky. Oh, and lots and lots of kites.
Of course, it rained most of the time (it’s Washington … in March) but it was an awesome weekend anyway. Cabin time was spent eating and drinking, playing board games and reading trashy mags (thanks Beth!) When the rain occasionally cleared we all piled onto the beach, and the doggies chased, the boys and Beth flew kites, and I took pics. Here are a few favorites. Oh yes, the night time pic? Josh brought along the kite lights that I bought him several years ago – I had some fun, and some frustrations, with long exposure, manual focus, pitch black, no moon night shots. It was mostly fun![]()
