On Saturday I headed down to Auburn to a beautiful countryside villa, Sanders Mansion, for Jeremy and Ophelia’s wedding. It was a long day for me, over ten hours, but there were so many events – and so many people! – that it was *just* enough time to capture everything. The mansion is gorgeous inside, and both guys and gals got pretty, bright rooms to get ready in. The sun was burning down on us, so we held the first look on the veranda, then group photos under the shade of a huge tree next to one of the ponds. I was so thankful for that tree! It was a bit of a mission corralling 50+ guests for the group photos, but the bridal party served as my translator and we got some great photos.
The ceremony was picture perfect. I loved how Kaycee of Parker Events had decorated the aisle, and the colors were awesome. So vibrant! The ceremony was nice and long for an outdoor service, and there were many big hugs and teary eyes throughout. After the Christian ceremony, we moved down to the lower terraces for the Chinese tea ceremony (cheerful commotion!) and cocktail hour. Then it was toasts, dinner, portraits, more toasts, cake cutting, dancing and photoboothing … oh, and at least a handful or two of mosquito bites thrown in too (darn ponds in the the countryside!) For a better overview of the day, check out the slideshow, here … the photos below are just a tiny sampling of my many favorites.
