Boston + New England Wedding Photography, Boudoir and Portraits bio picture

Hello.

I'm a Boston wedding photographer with a photojournalistic approach.  I also love fun, candid portrait photography and boudoir sessions.  My style is modern, organic and emotional, with a little bit of goofball thrown in.  My specialties?  Decisive moments, big hugs, dramatic backgrounds, perfect details, sideways glances, goofy expressions and raw emotion.

My favorite things in the world are beer (a pint of Manny's or my hubby's home brewed porter), food (cheese or sushi, yes please!) and warm, geeky, loving, smoochy people and their doggies.  If you're looking for my website, click here.  And don't forget to leave a comment on one of the posts below - comments make me happy.

Thursday Afternoon: Jamaica Pond

My business keeps me so busy that I rarely think to spend some time just photographing for fun.  Yesterday afternoon, I took Porter out for a play at Jamaica Plain Pond and brought along my camera and a 35mm lens.  The sun was glorious, and the little patches of snow on the ground made everything sparkle.  I love that the grass there gets covered in a slippery carpet of acorns.  It’s very cold right now (you’d never recognize me underneath the giant knee-length winter coat, balaclava and thick gloves) but I’d so much rather that and have the sun shining.  I honestly don’t understand why winter in the northeast has such a bad rep.  Anyway.

Here are some photos, just for fun.  Art, I guess.  Marg, if you’re reading: these are for you.  And for mum and dad, too.

Tsuki - Great shots! I especially love the last one. I'm a sucker for abstract macros :)

Kate - Thank you Tsuki! The last one is cracked layers of ice at the edge of the pond. It's really strange and wonderful. :)

Michelle - I love that, er, ''thing'' in the fourth photo! It looks a lovely place to go play with puppies :-)

Kate - Thanks Michelle. Don't worry, I'm not sure what it is either!

Ericha - I love the closeup of the ground with the warm sunlight and the moss. It's always nice to take some time and just take photos for ourselves.

Karrie - I love the ice in the last photo. So pretty. What a nice day.

Kate - Thank you ladies :)

kelly alice. - i love the way you've captured little moments and special places at the pond!

Zach Goodyear - Very happy photos. They make me feel all warm inside - it's been snowing here a lot lately - snow in Nashville day after day? Who knew?
