On Friday, I packed up my camera gear, my assisting husband and our cheeky puppy, and drove up to beautiful Chittenden, VT for Aldo and Kaitlin’s gorgeous wedding weekend. Friday was perfect; all blue skies and warm sunshine. We enjoyed exploring the Mountain Top Inn, and Porter enjoyed exploring the wedding party during the rehearsal (oops). Saturday came and so did the rain. Gah! I had been looking forward to this wedding for longer than I could remember (these guys were my first Boston area inquiry), and I was pretty bummed about the weather. Oh well! The show must go on, right ..?
I started my morning in one of the private homes on the property for some getting ready photos with Kaitlin. The house was buzzing, and I soon forgot about the murky skies outside …

The flowers were beautiful (love that blue on white). After a little while, I joined Aldo and the guys. The black and white diptych below illustrates the quiet excitement of Kaitlin as I left her, and the pensive mood I found with Aldo and the guys when I joined them.

The rain hadn’t started yet, so we headed outside …

Love this little series of the guys!

Then it was back to Kaitlin and some shots of her getting into her dress:

Kaitlin’s smile kills me every time … We decided to hold their first look right outside the house where Kaitlin had spent the morning:

And of course that’s when the rain started. Still … I do kinda like the blue umbrella in these photos. ![]()

Coming soon: lots more rain-drenched but utterly beautiful portraits!
