Elm Bank, Wellesley Wedding: Jess + Chris Ceremony

Chris + Jess’ ceremony was held on the grand steps overlooking the Italianate Garden at Elm Bank.  Guests were greeted with iced tea, then processed up past the fountain, through rows of flowers.  A string quartet played classical versions of – amongst other things – U2′s Beautiful Day.  I thought that was fitting. :)

Jess had been emotional all day – and the ceremony was no exception!  I love the photos of her with her dad just before walking down the aisle.  Also, how awesome are Jess’ niece and nephews?  They did a great job as flower girl and ring bearers.

The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Elissa Johnk, who was absolutely wonderful (and cute as a button!)  I love how she personalized the service, and included both emotional and funny anecdotes.  You can find Elissa at Wellesley Congregational Church.

Longer ceremonies are wonderful; I can photograph all the cute moments, as well as the reactions of family and friends.

Some final moments from this beautiful ceremony:

And of course – there’s more coming along very soon …

Julie Suratt - I cannot get over how great these photos are. Kate, you’re a rock star! The weirdest part is that I feel like I never saw you throughout the wedding…so I guess that makes you a stealthy rock star!

molly - Love love love the flowers jess!

Jenn - What a beautiful ceremony! A most perfect day…

Jeremy Suratt - Kate, these are amazing pictures. Thank you so much!

Kate - Thank you all for the awesome comment! So great meeting and working with many of you!

Nick Lowe - Holy Moses, these came out great. You can almost hear the unbelievably beautiful vows coming out of their mouths!

Eric Mendez - Great shots, Kate. I may call you in the future :-) . I had a great time guys! Cheers!

Kate - Thank you Nick and Eric. Eric, I would love that. :)

Patty Fraser - These photos are amazing! You really captured the day. I have too many favorites to count but especially love the one of Jess & her mom hugging before the wedding.
