After five seasons as a Boston wedding photographer, I’ve realized that you can’t bundle up a full day of action and emotion into a neat little package of four, six, or eight hours.  To me, each wedding is a collection of stories, moments, and events, sometimes colliding, always unpredictable.  I want to be there to capture it all.

 

Your Investment

My wedding collections are set up so that we’re free to roll with it on the day.  I arrive while you’re getting ready, and stay through the main reception events.  And if you want to spend a few hours making awesome images in multiple locations, I’m there!

So, what’s included?

 

All but the most basic collection include comprehensive coverage*, engagement photos, the high-resolution, edited images with a print release, and a kick-ass wedding album. Collections may also include parent albums, a guest book, and all kinds of other good stuff.

 

Coverage by international award winning Boston wedding photographer Kate McElwee starts at $6000.  Most couples working with Kate invest between $8500 and $10,000 in their wedding photography. Please contact me for full pricing, or to custom build a collection that fits your needs.

Destination Weddings

For local destination weddings more than 75 miles outside of Boston, there is a mileage fee at current IRS rates, 55.5 cents per mile.  For weddings in Newport and on Cape Cod, I require a minimum of one night’s accommodation, usually the night before your wedding.  This is so that I’m not battling busy weekend traffic on your wedding day; I’d rather wake up refreshed so that I can provide you with the best possible coverage!  For those weddings on the Cape and in Newport that finish after 10pm, there may also be a night-of accommodation requirement.

For true destination weddings, please contact me for a quote.  My quote will include direct economy class flights to your destination, and a minimum of two nights’ accommodation.  For destinations more than a three hour flight from Boston, I usually require additional nights.
