Catherine and Theis’ summer daytime wedding was held at Catherine’s alma mater, Wellesley College. After a first look and some quick portraits behind The College Club, we headed up to the arboretum for a short, simple and sweet ceremony. The entire wedding then processed down through Wellesley to TZE House for the reception. Parasols and lawn games filled the afternoon, and a mouth-watering vegetarian lunch was served family-style by Season to Taste Catering. The gorgeous summer floral decor was a joint DIY effort by Catherine, Theis and the three bridesmaids. Theis and Catherine left the reception by canoe – Catherine’s surprise wedding gift to Theis. Bailey and Joe got married in June 2010 at the First Unitarian Church of Providence, with their reception at the Hope Club in Providence, RI. The weather was very gray and wet that day, but colorful architecture on College Hill made for some beautiful portraits. This is a great sample wedding to view if you’re planning not to see each other before the wedding, yet still want to spend some time taking creative portraits. Bailey and Joe each scheduled time with me before the ceremony for their family and solo portraits, and decided to spend the best part of an hour taking couples portraits after the ceremony rather than have me cover cocktail hour. Amy and Jon got married at the Museum of Science in Boston. Their wedding was “Jewish lite” and eco-chic (there’s a great write-up on The Wedding Yentas as part of their Green Week) with Amy spending a lot of time working out the greenest way to pull off a unique, elegant and fun late spring wedding. Amy and Jon decided to have a first look, which enabled us to complete the formals and fun portraits before the ceremony and gave me lots of time to take candids of her guests during cocktail hour. One of the highlights of their wedding for me was watching their doggy Hannah carry their rings down the aisle – too cute! You can enjoy their slideshow by clicking here.
